Pros

Costumers I loved my route it was the best!!! Not so much the two-three hours extra that we started getting everyday plus working every Sunday hub. And working 21 days straight . but it got better I got work 14 days straight but when I got my Sunday off they put me on the on call just in case the person didn't show up I still had to work. Oh yay l???

Cons

Everything! !!! I was working there from over six months and one day I got hurt at someone house. It was a slip and fall. Well since my accident I've been told by the station manager she was going to fire , removed me . she said that's what the post master said because I got hurt. Was told by another supervisor that the station manager coach the customer what to write on the statement so it could look like it was my fault. I was told many times by management not to report slip and falls. She said you just dont report them. I was told I was never going to get work again. They're right I worked about three times since my accident. And I was hurt for three months with no pay no work. And Union doesn't do a damn thing either wrote papers of statements . HR workers compensation doesn't nothing either. Department of Labor takes their sweet time to get approved its been again over three months. No one gives a crap about you!!! I ask for management for my annual pay nope your not going to get it . can you pay me cop nope your not getting that either. Can I get work no ! I had to file a EEO. That's going to take forever if it ever goes anywhere. My advice don't work here worst job ever. I finally quit. I couldn't take their b.s. anymore . station manager won that's what you wanted right??? Its really sad because I tired so hard to work there that was my dream job I went on a class trip when I was a kid to that station. And I waited 7 years to work there just for some terrible people to take it away . just like that .

Pros

The pay is good especially with the economy and the lack of jobs in the state of Wisconsin. Will get a lot of over time hours no matter what. Descent paycheck.

Cons

Working in every type of weather condition. Only able to protect yourself with dog spray that may not work against dogs. Putting your safety at risk by being on your own with mail and packages. Mandatory over time regardless if you finish your route or not, no time for your family or to take care of your personal business, very hard to get any time scheduled off for appointments, etc. Management lack interpersonal skills and Career Letter Carriers & CCAs that have seniority over you can't be trusted they will give throw you under the bus to make themselves look good and it's hard to tell which ones sometimes. Also management Don't Care about your mental and physical well-being at all! They will quickly let you know your Replaceable and to stay out there delivering your mail no matter how long it takes even though they give you unreasonable time frames to do your routes, you better be done and clocked out before 5:30 p.m. Also when you doing a good job, management Reward you with More Mail and Packages and when your doing not so good they fuss, finger point, tell you how bad your doing no matter who is around. No benefits until you get hired in the company. Possibility that you get Injured trying to meet time requirements. Working in the dark by yourself and management is Reluctant to send for help when you need it as a matter of fact they will fuss at you before they send you help or will Not send you help at all!
