Pros

Benefits are quite good, health insurance is better than most is we out there, vision is top notch. PTO is good (roughly 200 hours per year more with tenure over 10 years. a lot of flexibility if you are not on the phones, facilities are state of the art (lots of food options, Starbucks on site, onsite gym, onsite health clinic, 24/7 access, parking garage, relaxation rooms onsite ATM etc.

Cons

USAA like a lot of others is in massive cost cutting mode. Bonuses have taken a nose dive year over year. Fear of layoffs loom constantly all over the bank. They have brought a lot of outside leadership that don't know the USAA way and it's starting to change the feel of the company and it's impacting morale all over. Most of my exec leadership came from Wells and it shows. Layoffs are a lever they always have on the table when all else fails. Overall I still prefer here over elsewhere based on stories fun others who have worked elsewhere but it's definitely changed over the last decade and not quite as unique as it used to be. You used to feel a sense of pride and duty working for USAA but that mentality is draining out of the organization faster than I could imagine. It's sad for someone like me who has tenure to see.

Pros

Great benefits 401k match Pension onsite doctors office gym

Cons

New CEO is not a veteran, first time in history and military culture has gone down. Bank manager role doesnt even focus on the mission. Managers are so stressed out because of the workload. Not worth it.
