Pros

Casual dress code, free gym and close to home.

Cons

Leadership, hiring ex police officers that have admitted to states attorney office that they sexual harassed someone at their previous job. Over worked and under paid. Favoritism versus job knowledge for promotions.

Pros

Good benefits overall. 401k, dental, vision, health

Cons

Call center environment. No file ownership. Doesn’t feel like an actual claims office- more like phone operators. Upper management refuses to staff up all departments in claims and throws extra duties on the casualty adjusters consistently. So more work - no extra pay.

Business Outlook

Pros

Decent compensation Great benefits: 12 weeks paid paternity leave, 8% 401k match + additional 3-9% company contribution every year depending on your age Combined with the great benefit package, and low cost of living in San Antonio, it's hard to find a company that treats their actuaries better.

Cons

Boring No upward mobility Too many reorgs favoritism in who gets the exciting positions
