Pros

Great salary, benefits and bonus. A top notch computerized Claims system. A very efficient, clean and accommodating work environment including covered parking and a full menu breakfast and lunch at the on-site cafe.

Cons

Nepotism and friends of friends rule. Every job is a measured by call center metrics against your peers. It is a very stressful environment where the top 10% get the spoils and bottom 10% are pushed out the door just as they do in the military. The military "members" are very difficult and the company treats everyone as replaceable. They keep everyone on the defensive and back even the worst managers. They have rules for everyone that don't apply to the "in" group. They skip over experienced people for management and install inexperienced recent college grads to manage.

Pros

The facilities are nice and management is nice but the cons honestly greatly outweigh the pros. That's pretty much it.

Cons

Lack of communication, constantly threatening to take away mail time if it "gets too busy", you're on an extremely strict schedule that you have to abide by that makes you feel like you are literally in prison, you constantly get calls outside your skill level so instead of helping the members you basically have to tell them there is nothing you can do and you have to convince them to wait longer to hear from their Adjuster. Some members are treated special JUST because of their military ranking and their seniority with the company. This company is extremely understaffed so you can be a PAII with 100 claims but the PAIII next to you only have 30. You HAVE to be on the phones all day while trying to do your work. HOW is that humane? Even on slow days it's hard to get anything done because you have to drop everything you're doing and focus on that call then go back to the claim you were working then get another call and you're constantly going back and forth. Don't even get me STARTED on trying to get PTO. You literally have to "bid" all the days off you want FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR on the first 2 weeks of the new year. WHAT IN THE HECK?? How am I supposed to know what my life will be like in 6-12 months??? What if something comes up and my friend is getting married and I need a day off to attend? Nope. You should have known before the end of January of that year to schedule it. This company is becoming way too big and they don't have enough people to cushion the blow of when a HUGE storm happens. Then when it's slammed from that huge storm they take away your mail time to "focus on the phones" but never mind about the people who already filed a claim. The members are snooty, snarky, entitled jerks who only care about getting their money. They use their military ranks against you on a daily basis and to remind you that they're better than you. I respect people in the military and veterans but I have never dealt with such a whiny, rude and entitled group of people in my life. Please spare yourself the humiliation and just don't do this job. It's a call center and it's awful. Just don't do it. Oh and those weekends you love so much? Forget about those! They tell you during training you only work weekends and then you can change your schedule. When I went to bid on my new schedule they said I have to wait until two more bid rotations! That's NOT what I was told over and over again by the coaches in training. The job I had before this I always had to work weekends so this is a huge blow to my mental health. I'm exhausted from working weekends and not having two days off in a row to breathe but does the company care? Nope. They tell you one thing and turn around and do another. Fake lies and promises at told to you in training to keep you from leaving. Spare yourself and DONT DO IT. The stress alone will drive your mental health to the ground.
