Pros

Pay wasn't bad, that's about it.

Cons

My assigned territory was challenging enough but 2 months into the position they doubled my territory. Said it was temporary and they were looking for another appraiser but they never intended to. They also did this to several other appraisers in other states. Was working 90+ hours a week w/o overtime. Was also left as the only appraiser in the entire state for a week at a time and they would not bring in anyone to help out. This company provided the worst customer service I have ever seen. I was ashamed to work for USAA because of the poor service provided to our veterans.

Pros

great benefits to include great retirement options with a very high match, amazing paid time off, on-site gym, medical, dental, vision and on-site health clinic with physical therapy. The list of benefits is larger but none that are beneficial to me since I don't have a family. They have an open door policy that lives up to its word.

Cons

Call center career that is all consuming. The majority of the week consists of back to back calls that with not even a second of a break in-between calls ( this is not an exaggeration ). The position I am in requires time for investigation, needless to say, that time is never available unless one works overtime to get it all done. This job title does the work of 2 positions at competing companies. All the benefits are just a smokescreen to keep employees content with their underpaid and overworked position.

Pros

Benefits, Great 401k 8% match, excellent health, vision, and dental. Compensation is good could be better could also be worse.

Cons

Culture. They say they are a company that cares about deepening relationships but the role is sales based without commission. Metrics for promotion change every year no consistency. Very much a drink the kool-aid type of place. Management can be good depending on their style and most people are very fake in their personalities.
