Pros

supportive environment, strong leadership, innovative and open IT environment, great mentoring available, company truly cares about its employees and members, a company with a mission you can believe in, huge potential for growth

Cons

If you aren't a self-starter, this is not a good place for you. Your career is what you make of it at USAA. Your potential is only as good as the effort you put into it. This means that people with seniority may not be the people getting promotions if people with less experience are working harder and have higher visibility.

Pros

Benefits, upward mobility, and satisfaction of helping the military. Retirement benefits are great, bonus structure is very transparent. Opportunity for advancement or transition is huge, since the company has so many areas.

Cons

High integrated and collaborative environment can make it difficult to get things done quickly. Typical corporate downsides other than that.
