USAA has great benefits and great mission for military, veterans, retirees and their families. awesome values of service excellence and integrity.

Pros

You get a lot of practice helping members with their financial goals. The phones are always busy, with someone needing help.

Cons

Good corporate reimbursement for college and advance degree programs. I finished my MBA from a top 25 program, and USAA helped with around 40% of the costs. The drawback is there aren't many positions in the Phoenix area for career advancement for an MBA caliber person. You could relocate to San Antonio, but as a homeowner, $80,000 upside down, that's not likely to happen.
