Pros

- You get an insane amount of days off - You work with very intelligent people - Lots of different teams you can work on - Lots of company groups and activities you can participate in

Cons

- Salary and yearly raises are below industry standards. I have not gotten above a 3.2% raise. - Bonuses are used to get your salary above industry standards but they have been the lowest in ever in the company history

Pros

USAA is a great company with great benefits and great people to work with. It is a wonderful place to start a career.

Cons

The pay could be better which is what causes most people to leave. The benefits and bonuses have also been on the decline for the last couple years.

Pros

Very stable company, most people are an absolute pleasure to work with. Everything is over-the-table. No sketchy on-the-side stuff that I've seen. Corporate culture is very accepting and open. Good work-life balance. Good benefits. 8% 401k matching (insane!)

Cons

Their pay struggles to be competitive, and they try to pad their numbers with benefits costs when comparing to others. Their skills evaluations currently will only put you on a performance improvement plan if you're under-performing. However, if you're performing at a higher level, they use BS excuses and "HR rules" to avoid promoting you. Executives feign listening to employees problems and then give non-answers when asked difficult, concrete questions.
