Pros

Coming from an independent IMO to a captive agencyou will be different and knowing that you offer the only one of a kind health insurance plan keeps you away from competition. I get the way it's built to save families money on traditional health insurance, and makes it desirable for people because of the ability of low cost. I haven't started yet, I signed the contract and submitted background check. I am striving to make about 1700 a week with them, and coming in with eagerness to learn. I sold mostly life insurance plans to cover mortgages, which doesn't sell like it used too. Health insurance is a must and people want to save money. So when I heard about USHA and the sales they made, I wanted a piece too.

Cons

Nothing yet, just a brand new agent coming in with full life and health license. Health and auto are the mandatory markets, so this will be different compared to what I have done. Probably the hardest I will have ever worked.

Pros

You are free to control your work schedule and approach to business. Great collegiate environment

Cons

Advanced is based on sales, leading to people with little to no management experience or skills in roles they are unable to adequately perform.

Thank you for your comments. While sales volume is an important factor to advancement it is not the only criteria we look at. For those proven personal producers who want to lead a sales team, USHA has rigorous leadership development programs already in place.

Pros

Manage own schedule, be your own boss, high commissions, thorough training and team leaders for guidance, and you get to help a lot of people.

Cons

High pressure sales tactics, have to do a lot of cold calling, it is a pyramid structure so the tops benefit from your hard work, and the accounting is very unorthodox.
