Swift recruiting and hiring process, so far so good!
Pros
I was recruited by USI and received calls from recruiting department and hiring manager within a few days of each other. After it became clear that I had the skills that fit the job I was made an offer that I thought was fair market value, and more than I had even asked for. Since starting the job I have had been given time for extensive training and I have a hybrid work schedule, home 2-3 days a week. I also found it interesting that since I started two former USI employees that left the area/company have since been hired back after enquiring about being able to come back because they didn't really like their new jobs. I think this shows that USI has something special going on. At least in the Norfolk, VA office. There has been a lot of training about diversity/inclusion, which is fine. But the thing that matters is what you see at work. I have definitely met a variety of people so far, with diverse backgrounds. The sustained growth of this company, along with the private ownership is a very good thing in my opinion. It means clients and employees come first, not stockholders.
Cons
Nothing so far, as I have only been here a month.
