      Co-workers; reimbursement for continuing education

      Cons

      Micro-managed, account managers and assistants are tracked everytime they get up from their desk regardless of whether work is completed and exceeding performance goals, no clear path to promotion, office politics, negative work space, lack of bonuses and pay increases. Hard to believe company is making $1B but although you exceeded all goals on performance report and workload increased, no rain was given. Turnover rate is very high, 9 employees left in the last year or so.

      Sweatshop mentality, poor support from leadership, cliques and favoritism are pervasive and discouraging. Low morale and high turnover.

      Most brokers will gather your information and submit to the carriers then negotiate and hope for the best. With the USI approach, we take your information and first analyze it and run it through our modeling prior to submitting to the carriers. This way we have the data that allows us to suggest terms and conditions and negotiate upfront prior to the carrier making any decisions. This puts our clients in a much better position when negotiating rates and coverages.

      Cons

      Owned within a private equity model so there is a lot of pressure to minimize expenses and maximize sales growth.
