Parking down a steep hill

Asked to work long hours and consistently asked to come in on your days off. No holidays. Taking PTO is looked down upon. Most employees are asked to be available and constantly contacted when they're on PTO. Admin don't care about the employees at all. Benefits are bad and it's justified by saying you have a free pass to the center (good luck finding a day off to come use it, and if you are seen at the site on your day off, you'll probably get roped into working). Pay is very low. All full-time staff burn out quickly and there's a constant revolving door of new managers who are never quite trained. The phrase "Trial by fire" is thrown around pretty often-- it's typical culture to just throw new managers into a hot mess situation and not spend any time enabling them to succeed, ask them to work ridiculous hours, and wait till they burn out and do it all again. The whole time I was there, it felt like we were constantly in "emergency mode" and every answer was a bandaid solution. Stressful, toxic, and poorly managed. Overall, just a terrible culture for the full-time staff.
