Hands-on research experience, opportunity to cultivate mentors and knowledge in a variety of topics, supervisors can be flexible with student schedule, 50% or more gets you benefits. Co-workers are hard-working and dedicated to projects.

Cons

High workload without pay for overtime, work can be very supervisor dependent, no formal vacation time though you can move around your schedule.

Team driven environment, great president, great leadership overall, maintenance of excellent reputation, usually get an annual pay increase, generally good benefits, free health insurance for employees, innovation, well rounded investment in all areas of mission, recently started diversity programs.

Cons

Relationship with community partners, unsure of ongoing funding status leads to low job security, health insurance is only okay, lacking work/life balance once in leadership positions, no guarantee of tuition assistance, staff get left out often with focus on faculty and students
