Pros

-Great pay. -Outstanding benefits package. -Beautiful campus - walking paths, gym on site, amazing subsidized cafe, cleaner than you can imagine and well-lit.

Cons

-Extreme micro-management at every level. -Creativity is not valued. -No opportunity to make things better, the president absolutely does not want processes to be improved. -Clocking in and out and required 10+ hour days. Holidays and PTO count as 8 hours, so those extra 2 hours must be made up to keep your average at 10 hours/day. -Politics at every turn - both the owners' politics being shoved down your throat in meetings and internal politics within the company.

We’re disappointed to hear about your experience at our company. While we don’t shy away from our high standards to meet our growing demand and customers’ needs, we take pride in providing various professional development opportunities to help our management and employee teams thrive together. We credit our collaborative and hands on work environment with evolving our company from a business run out of a basement into a billion dollar brand. We recognize that our employees come from diverse backgrounds, and believe that all employees have the right to express their individual beliefs in ways that are important to them —without fear of recourse. In fact, we believe a diverse workforce is necessary to grow and maintain our brand. Thank you for sharing your experiences.

Pros

- Pay but you sell your soul for every single penny - Job security

Cons

- HR monitors Glassdoor, most positive reviews are from them. - Extreme politics. Promotions are based on favoritism, not who actually works hard or tenure - People there are brainwashed into thinking it’s the best company ever because of the pay -I developed severe anxiety during my time working there because of how badly I was treated - HR and the President illegally obtain information about employees to create “date nights” for people based on how they filed on their tax documents. She loves when people meet through work. There is no age range so you have 22 year olds in the same “dating pool” as 45 - 60 year olds at these dinners, plus open bar. Pretty easy to put 2 and 2 together on what happens at these things. - You have to experience it for yourself to truly understand how toxic it is

Pros

The pay is good I suppose.

Cons

It doesn't matter how good the pay is when the president of the company puts your health at risk by insisting you come back into the office even though we've been successfully working from home for about 2 months. And the company has had dozens of COVID-19 cases. The president of Uline has gone on record saying that what takes us 5 minutes to do in the office takes us a week to do from home. That's absurd. When the corporate office goes back to work next week, we'll be going back to our cubicles that are much closer than 6 feet. All because we're "not a work from home company". Uline was behind the curve with taking action on COVID-19 prevention methods, they were behind the curve with technology since they had nothing in place ahead of time to help us work from home, and they're still behind the curve by not allowing employees to continue to work from home. Most companies and going to allow their employees to work from home indefinitely because they've seen how successful it's been for them. Their employees have greater productivity and increased job satisfaction. Their facilities costs will go down because they no longer have to maintain large office buildings. And since Uline loves to hire people straight out of college, just know that Forbes says that 68% of millennial job seekers would have increased interest in a company that offered the ability to work remotely. You can also hire the best people no matter where they are in the country and you wouldn't lose employees due to relocation. It just makes sense. And now that we've all had a taste of what working from home is like, we're not going to like coming back and you'll probably lose people who seek employment with a company that's living in the 21st century.
