Pros

Very flexible employer. Company is also an ESOP which adds a nice aspect to having skin in the game and reaping some of the rewards of your contributions if the company does well. Ulteig has some really good employees and a culture of really wanting to help each other.

Cons

Benefits have eroded over the past several years. Company invests heavily in things that bring very little benefit to employees, especially on the production side of the business. Overhead is inflated and as such, most of the opportunities for advancement are on that side of the business and the threshold is much lower than on the production side. The aggressive approach company has taken with DEI was the opposite of unifying and felt very accusatory to and excludes certain groups of individuals.

Very well run engineering firm with great pay and benefits.

Cons

Can feel difficult to build connections and ultimately grow if not at least hybrid. Working a fully remote role I have trained multiple new hires in my role, have value added skills that other do not, and have been there as long if not longer than than others with my same title, yet they have been promoted to senior/advisory roles.
