Impossible to Imagine Being Happier Anywhere Else
Pros
Ulteig is an absolutely terrific place to work. I feel lucky and am grateful every day that I'm an employee owner here. There are SO many pros! ESOP CULTURE -- There's a true difference between the ESOP culture here and non-ESOP companies. Every employee has a vested interest (not to mention a financial interest) in this company doing well. That motivates people differently. You can see it here. You can feel it. FLEXIBILITY -- While the majority of companies have reverted to a return-to-office model, Ulteig continues to maintain that they want their employees to do what works best for them. We have great offices available across the U.S. (not to mention offices in Canada and now Costa Rica) for employees to work from if they choose, or employees can work from home if they prefer... or anything in between. And if folks do work remotely, they continue to be included in the culture here as a priority. LEADERSHIP -- All levels of leadership here are top-notch. From the Engineering Supervisors and Technical Managers all the way to the very top, they’re great people and great leaders. Leadership listens—no matter which level you’re talking to. This is because every voice matters at Ulteig. DEI -- Ulteig has invested significantly in building a great DEI culture. This is a priority for them. Everyone who comes to Ulteig will feel welcome in our inclusive space. ESOP -- Beyond the cultural benefits of ESOP, looking at the ESOP growth statements is quite exciting. There is 401(k) matching at Ulteig, but ESOP is a HUGE part of the retirement plan. FELLOW CO-WORKERS/EMPLOYEE-OWNERS -- Ulteig makes it a priority to hire really great people, and it shows. This is likely one reason why I like all of my co-workers. No, really! It’s awesome how great the people here are, and everyone is happy to help out when there are struggles. The camaraderie here really stands out. And on top of all that, we are truly client-focused. OTHER BENEFITS, COMPENSATION -- Competitive compensation, good benefits, and generous PTO. My company even has pet bereavement leave... does yours?
Cons
This will not always necessarily be a job where you clock in and out for 8 hours per day. You can do that frequently, but every so often, more hours may be required to finish deliverables on time.
