Pros

ESOP Company with a CAGR performance over the past 10 years well over average! Company is very flexible for employees with lots of remote/hybrid work opportunities. Collaborative & positive work environment. CEO is well respected and the company continues to grow and stay busy.

Cons

Comp & benefits packages are... okay. We used to boast "industry leading" comp & benefits but those days are seemingly behind us and the company seems content with "average."

Thanks for taking the time to write a thorough review regarding your experience at Ulteig. Your set of highlights is well aligned with what your colleagues share with us on employee surveys. Good feedback regarding your perspectives on total rewards. One thing to keep in mind is that the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) is part of Ulteig's retirement benefit package, which also includes a 401(k) match. Those two elements combine to form a retirement benefit that is well above average.

Pros

Invests in their employee owners: - Often hires interns full time - Provides tuition reimbursement, supports professional development opportunities, covers professional licensure exam costs - Allows cross-team/department collaboration to give employees the experiences they desire Provides a flexible workplace: - Flexible hours are encouraged, it is well understood that everyone has a life outside of work - Supports working parents - Supports employees who are attending college Great culture, doesn't feel forced: - People genuinely want to get to know you and try to make you feel included - Employees go into the office willingly for connection opportunities - ERG's provide support to under-represented groups

Cons

One of the only negatives of working at Ulteig is the lack of paid holidays and time off in general. They offer the bare minimum time off. Ulteig is a great employer who appears to care about their employees so it's confusing why this one important benefit has been neglected.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write such a detailed review about your experiences and perspectives at Ulteig. I appreciate your capturing the long list of Pros - they are well-aligned with the typical feedback we receive. With regard to the Cons you mentioned, we are aware that we have an opportunity with holidays, and we'll review again the opportunity to make a change for next year. For others reading this, and wondering about 'the 'bare minimum' time off reference, Ulteig starts full-time employees at 15 days of Paid Time Off (PTO). That number is increased as an employee's tenure builds. For new hires who have professional experience, we provide tenure credit when providing the new hire's PTO accrual rate at their start date.

Pros

A very ambitious company and they offer flextime, which is nice when times are slow.

Cons

This company always has politics of all types in mind. Some coworkers will intentionally sabotage others to make themselves look better.
