Pros

Employee owned company that is large enough to take on a technically diverse project portfolio and small enough to actually care about its employees. Ulteig has a casual dress code/ atmosphere and its employees make coming to work enjoyable. I loved working here.

Cons

Management seemed a little reactionary to under-performing orders targets and let a few people go during my time as an employee.

Pros

The culture at Ulteig is wonderful. Casual dress code, great coworkers and management that cares. Competitive/above average compensation. Work/life balance is important and treated as such. Ulteig is consistently asking employees for feedback and always working to making improvements.

Cons

There is some misalignment with job titles and capabilities. I believe Ulteig is aware of that issue and is trying to figure out how to address it.

Pros

Ulteig is a great company to work for. The team I served on (Substation Protection and Control) had some really great engineers and designers who taught me a lot about substation design. Also, being a 100% employee owned company, the ESOP plan is an added bonus!

Cons

No cons, just wish I could've gotten into 3D substation design.
