      It’s a great place to begin working in community colleges.

      The work environment can be a bit uncomfortable. Full-time faculty can get somewhat territorial around adjuncts and are sometimes unwilling to answer questions new adjuncts might have.

      In my position I have a great deal of autonomy regarding what and how I present course content. I feel valued and supported in my role.

      There are no teaching assistants to lessen the load of grading and advising.
