      The pay is pretty competitive

      Cons

      Everyone is scared of losing their jobs. There is a lot of turnover and important positions remain empty for months and months with no one doing the work. If you want to get promoted pay attention to the whims of administration, kiss up publicly to the president and blame other people when something goes wrong. Do not take any initiative. Just follow orders. Everyone complains all the time and they refer to the president and vice president with insulting nicknames.

      Department I worked for was great and my immediate supervisor was wonderful

      Administration is just unbelievably unprofessional. Will yell at you in front of colleagues. Forces everyone to call each other Dr. This and That. No first names allowed
