Pros

You will meet a lot of awesome people and make honest friends with. The starting pay rate is better than most retail places.

Cons

Where do I start....its a slave ship driven company!!!! -5th Avenue is the worst location to work in. -Long hours, and you will stay past your shift ends. -Worst communication between management and associates. -The worst favoritism you will ever see. -Uniqlo is like high school all over again. Management or people above you are immature and will target you if you are not favored by them. -People who are put in to the HR position, does not know how to do their job correctly. Violates their rule of conduct. -Break room is so small, it can not accommodate a long staff. -Uniqlo is about customer services and proving the best customer service ever, but you will never see a manager do it or anyone higher up. Every one acts like they have a stick up there and acts like their better than you because of their positions. -So think about it before you apply, if you want to work for "go die hard" work mentality Asian company.

Pros

Co-workers. Starting pay is higher than most retail stores. ($10.50, but now you have to work through 3 promotions before you get a raise.) Employee discount.

Cons

Forced to stay after scheduled shift time. Disorganized management that tries to overrule each other. If you move up you'll be doing all of the grunt work but barely getting paid enough. It's hard to move up unless you suck up to managers and spend all your waking hours at the store. You'll spend the whole shift stressed out. Basically don't work here unless you have no life and enjoying working like a slave.

Pros

-Met some wonderful people (for the most part my coworkers were great) -Learned a lot about retail and how it works (They are really open about sales plans/goals) -The pay is above minimum and they will raise it to meet their global standard (everyone working for them makes the same amount, no matter what country) -Easy to move up (If you're liked)

Cons

-Management is a MESS. They don't know how to communicate with associates. -My main problem while working there was the favoritism that went on. Management will pick favorites and they'll get promoted. Even if said favorites are terrible employees. -Their standards are extremely demanding (perfection is their motto). -You have to be available to close (closings until 11 or 12) at least 2 nights during the work week and open availability for the weekend. -HR is almost NEVER available. God forbid you need their help, good luck finding them.
