Pros
Most people work for an airline for the flight benefits. Due to the reduction of flights and the ability for software to better determine the amount of seats to oversell a flight, it has become increasingly difficult for airline employees to get a free or reduced flight.
Cons
With the increase in oil prices the airline is losing millions per month, as a result salaries are being slashed. Promotions are rare and getting a promotion does not guarantee a pay raise. Union employees are now grouped into tiers, basically you have employees performing the same job function being paid differing salaries, this creates resentment and abuse.
