Pros

Travel opportunities through the flight benefits especially for short trips used on days off.

Cons

Senior management lack of support for lower level supervisors and too much micromanagement. Supervisors were not trusted to make simple descisions on their own without consulting Operating Managers. Between working with the Union employees and upper management, lower level supervisors are left on an island and trying to carry out policies that they didn't necessarily believe in.

Pros

United Airlines has excellent travel benefits for employees, parents and dependents. It is standby travel in any class of service and it is easy for employees to check the flight loads. Employees can sit in first class on an international flight and they pay a small fee. United has very good employees and it is really easy to make friends there. The work schedule is flexible.

Cons

The salaries are very low and the airline industry is unstable. United is reducing their workforce and have many layoffs now. The oil prices are so high now causing the airlines to ground more planes and reduce their staff, so it is not a good time to work in the airline industry. The employee morale is low and there is a lot of tension between management and the employees. There are not many opportunities for promotions.

Pros

I'm a pilot for United Arilines so I'm doing the job I've wanted to do since I was 9 years old. Flying airplanes is theonly reason I would go to work for a company like United but if Ihad my choice would be somewhere else.

Cons

The absolute disregard that the CEO and his buddies treat the employees of this company. Thelack of compensation, the working hours, the lack of respect on the job, the outward hostility the management of this company treats its employees with. Etc etc etc
