      tough job for parents due to schedule changes, good for travel benefits if you can use them

      Pros

      The travel benefits are great if you have the time to use them and there is availability on the flights. Its a great job for a younger, single person who doesn't need a high paying job or as a second job if your other job is very flexible. Its also good for people who are older and looking for a second career and don't have family responsibilities. It can be a really interesting job working at the airport and seeing where everyone is flying. You meet a lot of interesting people.

      Pros

      Travel and other benefits. Certainly, there are worse airlines and the industry is confronted with great challenges. If you wish to enter this volatile industry, United might offer a good entry point. However, the long term viability of United remains questionable.

      Cons

      Poor working environment, lack of promotional or growth opportunities, hostile climate, poor morale and leadership.

      Pros

      Flight Benefits. The fact that you can fly for free (or nearly free) is great.

      Cons

      Unless you are a dinosaur (someone with years of seniority), you'll get paid very little (barely over minimum wage). It is a strict seniority system... despite the fact that longevity DOES NOT help the airline at all! Oh, the joys of unions!
