Pros

Pass travel is a good perk although it is harder to fly now with high load factors and fewer planes. There are great people working here, and we still run a safe airline despite the bad management.

Cons

The complete lack of honor, fairness and leadership from the senior management. No meaningful communication from our "leaders", who seem determined to squeeze out every dollar into their own pockets.

Pros

It used to be travel benefits and time off, but now we have to work more for less pay and the flights are oversold so we can't use the travel benefit! The only good thing left about the job is that I don't have to "bring it home" with me!

Cons

Low Pay, disrespect from management, poor employee morale. Job security is very tenuous. Upper management does not have a viable businees plan other than trying to merge with another airline and / or taking from the employees to line their own pockets! This used to be a great job with good benefits, but that went out the window in the bankruptcy. New hire flight attendants make about $17000 their first year, are on call, and have to work most, if not all, weekends and holidays.

Pros

Only to fly free when there is an open seat available, yet these days the airplanes are full and they will soon be cutting down on flights. So, actually, there aren't any good reasons to work for UAL any more.

Cons

After 9/11 everything has been going downhill. Our pension is gone. Even now, I have been with the company for 10 years and the only thing I will get out of working for this company is 8 passes to fly free every year, yet I must stay another 4 years until I turn 50 in order to get those 8 passes.
