TOP HEAVY AND MANY INCONSISTENCIES

Pros

Enjoyed what I did very much and have worked with some very good and competent people. Have also had some very competent Supervisors and then some not so good.

Cons

I do not feel that USPI was consistent in the treatment of their employees both wage and recognition wise. For a corporation the size of USPI, their should be a general range of pay for the individual job titles, and it should be based on education and experience, and the general chain of command and responsibility - rather than "favoritism" that is very prevalent throughout USPI. There are definitely top heavy with middle management.

Racial tension like I’ve never seen before. Short staffed. Fast turnover. Rude employees. Unwilling to train adequately. Nurses get thrown into their position because there isn’t enough staff to actually train. Then you get bashed over and over again for not doing something correctly. Pay is 10-15 dollars less than other places in the area. Zero continuing education opportunities. Some days you will work 12-13 hours. Other days you might get 4 hours of work.

Pros

Growth opportunities, turnover rate is so high there is room for advancement.

Cons

Used to be a great place to work until Tenet began making decisions and running our company. Terrible culture, negative environment, no morals or ethics, constant job cuts although company grows 20%+ per year, slashed equity and took away earned PTO.
