Pros

It beats unemployment and my unit was part of a buyout.

Cons

Zero morale amongst the employees due to lack of concern for resolving issues by management. Lot of talk and meeting about this and that but no real progress towards making change. "let's have another meeting to discuss this" seems to be the norm. All talk and no substance.

Pros

You can work for aerospace companies leading the charge on cutting edge jet engines or helicopters, or experience the cutting-edge climate controls and security commercial business, or perhaps spend some time in an alternative energy business, all without leaving the family.

Cons

Talent movement accross businesses is supported and part of UTC culture, however, synergies, efficiencies and collaboration accross businesses is very challenging.
