Pros

Co-workers and staff are encouraging and intelligent. Very supportive of each other and the work we do is meaningful and has purpose. The work is dynamic and includes involvement in the community.

Cons

The pay is low, and raises are rare, would like better benefits.

Pros

What I appreciate about our affiliate is there is room to innovate and try new things, staff and volunteer leadership work hard to create a positive atmosphere, and the hours are flexible for those employees that are hitting benchmarks.

Cons

Budget, budget, budget. We raise millions every year but our entire development and marketing budget is less than 5% of that. That makes it difficult to educate the community and increase our visibility. Additionally, the efforts of our fundraising team and program staff are not aligned fully. We also lack a system that adequately holds underperforming staff accountable.
