Pros

UWSC has many policies that contribute to a good work/life balance. Half-day Fridays, people can telecommute and a week off between Christmas and New Year's Eve. Most everyone here is friendly and works well together. People generally pitch in to help each other out. Also, there are some excellent volunteers and great networking opportunities.

Cons

There are a lot of rumors and low morale. Promotions are not open to everyone and are not based on merit, they are only created for you if you are favored by the Executive Director. It is very hierarchical and most staff feel like they have no voice. They have a very "my way or the highway" mentality.
