Pros

Stable company and continues to grow. Benefits are good.

Cons

Pay is not tied to your performance nor does it follow the company’s success. It is below market and stagnates the longer you are with the company. Leadership makes decisions based on the stock holders or what is currently vogue and not what’s best for the customer. Culture Vales are a sign on the wall but not practiced by the leaders espousing them.

I'm sorry that this was your experience. Because every team and department can have different success metrics, sometimes culture can be influenced because of that. Culture is indeed very important to us and I highly suggest letting your Human Capitol contact know about your experience. Annie W., Talent Community Manager, UnitedHealth Group

Pros

Reduced stock price, 401k sharing, new parental leave benefit, sometimes depending on area you can work from home

Cons

Inconsistent workloads between groups, most IT is offshore and/or done with H1B consultants/employees, lack of ability to move up or to different departments

Pros

Pay, flexibility, forming relationships with patients

Cons

Unethical practices Overwhelming documentation that you will do at home until midnight to keep up with it Money is the bottom line, goal is to keep patients out of the hospital no matter what. Nursing homes are not set up to treat acutely ill patients and sending patients out is highly discouraged and you are evaluated on this. Do not work here if you want to put PATIENT FIRST. Profit always rules this organization over safe patient care.
