Pros

decent product at a decent price, free coffee, decent place to start a high tech sales career.

Cons

There are many cons, but the majority of them have been listed below. I think right now the biggest Con is our CEO responding to these instead of trying to fix the problem and the morale. Also, before you or HR responds, I will NOT be willing to speak to you face to face about this because as much as I may be disappointed in the leadership I still enjoy working with my customers and feel that I'm adding value to them. When I do move on, or get pushed out, these are relationships I'll be able to continue to build on

Thanks for voicing your opinion. If you are a current employee. I wonder why you didn't offer up free lunch and Thursday Happy Hour as a PRO. Just as you have chosen to voice you opinions under the shroud of anonymity, I will choose to share my views of the business as well - but not anonymously. One thing that you might consider is the value of sharing your opinion. You express displeasure in my leadership skills, but you are unwilling to articulate exactly what i am missing. Seems a bit cowardly to me. What is the worst thing that could happen - and if you are as good as you think you are i suspect you could write your own ticket at any other tech company in the Boston area. If you are a former employee, I would encourage you to get over it. Life is far too short to be going back and stirring the emotions of no longer being here. We have made a ton of changes here at Unitrends over the past year, and the one constant is that we have outstanding employees and a killer technology platform. We have a great benefits package; we have hired some incredibly talented people in the last four months, and we are hiring more today. And finally, we have a very competitive compensation plans for our employees. If you are interested in coming back give me a call. if you are a current employee, you really should consider speaking with someone about your concerns - it is the mature thing to do.

Pros

Efficient marketing hype machine geared towards continually pestering current customers into buying more technology which they do not need based on FUD sales tactics.

Cons

Do NOT work in the Philly office. It is horrible. Absolutely soul crushing office environment coupled with incompetent ego-driven micro managers with little to no understanding of technology.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are sorry to have lost a long time employee and clearly wish you had reached out to talk to management or HR about your experience as part of our Customer Success Team. Interestingly, our thousands of customers continue to give us a 98% satisfaction rating, in part because of the efforts of this team at listening to their needs and providing them with options for new products and renewals on their current systems. We are very proud of the work that the Philadelphia office does in support of Unitrends' mission, however since it was not a fit for you we wish you well in your future professional endeavors.

Pros

decent place to get your foot in the door for the software industry, although there are literally hundreds of other places in 128 area to do the same.

Cons

There are probably to many cons to list -Upper management rules by fear and intimidation -you must be a favorite in order to advance within the company -if you are not a "yes" man then there is no point in even applying for a position here -constant hiring from 1 former company in particular has just shifted the negative aspects of that workplace into Unitrends -while it is a good product at a good price they are far from leading edge technology, and implementation failures have cost the company and resellers of there's hundreds of thousands -they have such little faith in their own culture, and know that all of these critiques are true, that they will "encourage" their employees to post multiple high approving posts after this one. They would rather counteract negative posts by "embellishing" on future posts, than to actually address and fix the issues they have.
