      Friendly people, good benefits, low stress environment, well run, strong senior management team

      Large and fairly bureaucratic, not particularly innovative, not a great spot for young, highly motivated people looking to advance rapidly

      Pros

      Great culture, positive managers, solid company, amazing campus with plenty of extra teams and groups to join, overall very nice place to me.

      Cons

      The training programs on great and it's very easy to get stuck in one job for a long time unless you actively get out. They are easily the slowest company at making decisions ever. It took me a solid week or two before I could even get approved for applications...

      Pros

      Very professional and friendly colleagues. Excellent employer for young people especially. Conservative environment. There are a lot of people at Unum who have worked for the company their entire working career (25+ years). Very positive and fun environment. Unum has excellent training programs.

      Cons

      Unum is a super competitive and you always have to prove your value. Unum makes changes every year which could result in job loss.
