Thank you for sharing your experience as an SDR at UpKeep. We're glad to hear your manager was a strong support and made a positive impact during your time with us. We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding compensation and leadership decisions — these are areas we take seriously, and we continue to evaluate both to ensure we're aligning with our team’s needs and company goals. Wishing you all the best in your next chapter, and thank you again for being part of the UpKeep team.

Pros

- they're very transparent with their entire workforce (you have a lot of opportunities to meet employees from other departments - they value work/life balance (although it's hard to separate the two when you're stressing about meeting quota every week) - a lot of social clubs to help you meet new people and participate in fun events - everyone is very welcoming and they stress importance of their employees' wellbeing - they have a great promotional plan for SDRs to move up to higher positions (they give employees opportunity for growth)

Cons

These are more specific to my role. Sales was definitely not the right career for me. My managers and coworkers were willing to help but I'm not great at talking to people on the phone so overall, their efforts couldn't help me. - quotas seemed unreasonably high - although it's inbound, almost 75% of leads that get sent to you are either fake or not a great fit - time zones played a huge issue; I was given a lot of international leads, so I could only call them during my night hours when I was already well off of work. My only options were to call at 11pm at night or give them to another SDR and lose out on a potential meeting
