Pros

Uptake has a lot of great people who know what they are doing. There are a lot to learn. It feels amazing how far tech has come in just a few years. People are helpful, friendly and responsive. Idea is to get a job done. Collaboration feels natural. There are many opportunities to make an impact and a contribution. New ideas feel welcome and the attitude is progressive. When mistakes are made, they're fixed and we move on. People take their work seriously. There's a number of areas, for example security, that are on a world class level. Things are being invented here. There's no lack of fun times either and I'm not talking about the beer tap and arcade games, but about hanging out with your coworkers.

Cons

If you ever worked at a startup, you'll feel at home. This is a really big startup. In startups you learn to compromise with all kinds of things. For instance, at the moment, seating space is tight, even though it's a huge space. Since there's a lot of people it gets noisy. You need to take ownership of tasks. There's a number of things going on at any given moment. To some people things like this are an issue and to some they're a plus. I've heard that there was a number of tech issues. That's one way to look at it. Another is that Uptake gets past issues and moves on to bigger ones.

Pros

We work long hours and the work is intense, but what I value most is that i have a 100% honest rapport with my boss. No politics, no drama. We are able to accomplish a lot this way.

Cons

Things are insanely fast paced

Pros

- Everyone you work with is brilliant and excited about the company - There is always something to do - Constant buzz of activity around the office - beyonduptake: Uptake's humanitarian effort is awesome - Young(ish) startup so tons of opportunity to make a difference and take ownership - Monthly meetings/town halls with entire staff, multiple outside speaker opportunities per month - Brad Keywell

Cons

- Exact role is undefined. Since the company is constantly growing and shifting, you're forced to kind of forge your own path which can be a pro or a con - Sometimes can feel like a vendor even though we're not
