      Pros

      Working with incredibly smart people and taking on big, hairy, audacious problems. Great environment that is growing fast and always exciting to be in with new people starting every week.

      Cons

      As with any start up, there are times when things are unclear and no protocol is in place. Also, the company's strategic vision is still being formed, so understanding clearly what we do can be difficult to put your finger on. That said, this is also what makes it fun!

      Pros

      Uptake is a great opportunity to work with one of the great entrepreneurs in Chicago to build what's going to be a very important company. There's lots of room for career advancement and I've seen several people get promoted. There's a great culture, exciting vibe, and I love the agile environment. Plus, the perks are great, lots of free food and toys!

      Cons

      Like lots of young companies there's more change than you'll see at bigger companies, and some people don't react well to that. Also, people who aren't self-motivated don't do well here because everyone's too busy to micromanage.
