      Wages still haven't caught up to Logan cost of living

      Pros

      Work life balance; tuition benefit; good group of people to work with; working with students is fun and rewarding

      Cons

      USU does not reward longevity in a position. You will definitely increase your salary much faster by moving around. Unfilled position wages are increased at a much higher rate than filled positions. This is quite frustrating for current employees. The retirement package is unmatched. The health benefits are fine.

      Flexible schedule. 14% 401a. Affordable insurance.

      Cons

      Very slow moving. Centralized, top-down decisions. People are not empowered. President and CIO are micro-managers and pit their employees against each other. IT and staff salaries are very low. Little incentive for innovation.
