If you are even slightly interested in being a top performer, you shouldn't bother. This institution doesn't reward performance - and why would it? The forces that push industry to keep and sustain a competitive advantage do not influence this place. Everyone receives the same base raise. Two individuals who have the same job title might have drastically different salaries (upwards of $15,000 in my case) depending on what business unit (department) you work for.

Low pay, no employee appreciation, the university will do anything to save a dollar- including providing no career development, training, or other appreciation opportunities to part time employees.
