Pros

Free junk food if that’s your thing. I can not think of a legitimately positive quality about working for Utz.

Cons

Ridiculous hours with disproportionately low pay. Don’t know if the same pay structure exits in the Philadelphia area still: 10%commission on weekly sales. Say you bust your hump for 55-60 hours a week... driving an outdated, hot, rusty truck, taking crap from store managers, your manager, etc... And, at the end of this adventure your route did $6,100 in sales for the week. Thank you for your hard work... here’s a check for $610. Little over 10 bucks an hour! Oh, and since it’s all commission based, the hour or hour and a half at the end of your day back at the warehouse picking product for the next day’s run..... we don’t pay you for that. Horrific job. God bless the people that can do it indefinitely.

Pros

Free chips, good job to get for one or two years

Cons

The salaries for the Route Sales Associates as well the Sales Supervisors is unacceptable, the fact that there are no women, or minorities in upper management is really not good. This company is the true definition of the good old boy network. They change the rules as they go, Utz thinks there in competition with Frito-Lay but they are clearly 15 years behind them
