Pros

Employee pet discount. Some great co-workers. Flexible work schedule. Opportunities to learn on the job. Mostly great clients.

Cons

Some negativity among co-workers. Lack of support from upper management, and worst of all, promoting discord by taking sides and not being fair and unbiased. Increasing pricing while making appointment times shorter.

Pros

Lots of locations and opportunity for transfers to new locations. Employee discounts at other VCA hospitals if you need to take personal pet to see a specialist or for overnight care. Insurance coverage and 401k are decent.

Cons

High turnover not only among staff but also management. Salary and compensation not great unless you are grandfathered in when they purchase your hospital. They say they allow the hospitals to remain unique and keep their own culture, which they do for the first year, and then they start changing policies.
