Pros

High caseload, so you get to learn a lot very quickly if you do not have prior experience Doctors and senior staff are knowledgeable and helpful Great quality of care and better equipment than most places Benefits are of high quality

Cons

Pay is not competitive for what they ask of their employees Management often does not have veterinary experience, so makes judgments arbitrarily without proper consultation with veterinary staff Corporate is stifling. A large amount of the Mars "training" is re-worded every quarter, and then you have to listen to the useless corporate blab over and over. From an employee's perspective, who is hardly making enough to cover rent, it seems so inauthentic and like the corporate offices have an overinflated ego that they are trying to pump up with every "training" they offer. Price for clients is astronomical compared to other clinics in the area. The reception staff and care staff take the brunt of this and experience a significant amount of backlash from clients as a result.
