Pros

Gives a very structured environment for a new manager.

Cons

Poor communication between home office and hospitals, and the corporate support staff is nearly uniformly abysmal. Large portions of the workday are spent following up on A/P, vendor relations, and other tasks performed poorly by home office staff. It was not atypical to have vendors deny services for nonpayment on accounts three to five months overdue. It's hard to run a hospital when you can't order medical supplies. As a publically owned company, maximization of profit takes a front seat to quality of medicine. Not that you can't find good doctors within the system, but constraints on staffing and budget make it difficult to take care of clients and patients as well as one would like.

Pros

• Peers are extremely nice and supportive which means a lot in such a high-stress, high-stakes environment.

Cons

• Chronically understaffed, creating an unsustainable workload and consistently difficult work environment • Upper management is ineffective and disconnected; communication is poor, concerns are ignored, and there is little accountability or leadership support • Employees are frequently left without support when issues arise and expected to manage problems independently • Customer conflict handling is concerning to say the least. Management often prioritizes appeasing clients over supporting staff, leaving employees feeling blamed and undervalued • Company resources are not meaningfully reinvested into staffing, compensation, or employee support • Recognition efforts feel superficial and out of touch with actual workplace needs • Overall, a poorly managed organization with low morale and insufficient support for employees. I would not recommend it

Pros

Good Benefits for employees and up to 4 pets

Cons

They’ve turned our previous private practice into a business that had always focused on building relationships with our clients and their pets, to pure quantity over quality. Raised prices so dramatically that we are heads and tails FAR more expensive than any other veterinarian office in the whole county. They constantly are moving the goalpost for where they want the labor percentage to be (lower and lower). They want maximum appointments with few staff. Not good patient care when this happens. Pay only decent if you are a Veterinarian, but this is a veterinary problem in general.
