You get to see cats/dogs everyday Clients are mostly friendly

Cons

Underpaid for the amount of work you do The feeling of being on pins and needles You get left alone at the reception area by yourself some days when most places at LEAST have 3 front desk. The schedule is ridiculous. I worked 6 10hr shifts straight with only ONE day off.

The benefits were pretty decent.

Cons

Manager doesn't do anything to make employees feel wanted, hospital director makes employees cry and treats them poorly. Regional manager didn't help due to medical director brings in quite a bit of money making it seem that that's all they cared about and HR is the same way. There is no real work/life balance. They want you to work all the time and don't fully staff the hospitals.

The co-workers. The medical team practices great medicine.

Cons

A lack of direction and support for staff. Office “politics”. Poor pay - Come on, the staff does jobs of virtually every department a human hospital is capable of (dentistry, anesthesia, ICU, urgent care, chronic illness, phlebotomist, lab and pharmacy technicians and many more) and gets paid as well as a janitor in a human hospital. Student debt + poor pay is a terrible equation.
