      Pros

      Great experience working with animals, enjoy client education, good standard benefits, great discounts for own benefits. It's a luck of the draw which hospital has a friendly working and collaborative environment.

      Cons

      Minimum wage for a physical demanding and life saving job, management a bit scattered, very little opportunities to raises and if so will not be a "true" raise, maybe a quarter more an hour

      Pros

      It's hard to believe that I've worked at VCA for over 15 years now. I've experienced VCA at a hospital level (Associate Veterinarian and Medical Director) and from a corporate level (various roles in the recruiting department) and have always felt supported along the way. VCA truly cares about their employees. As a veterinarian, I appreciate how VCA led me to multiple career options I would have never even considered while staying within the same supportive company. While VCA is a large organization, I love how all employees have a universally shared commitment to excellence in veterinary medicine. There's a wonderfully positive culture that embraces possibilities. VCA truly feels like home.

      Cons

      There is always room for improvement regarding Benefits for employees. VCA has great benefits, but not the best in the business.
