Pros

Lot of opportunity for professional advancement if you have the support of your nurse manager. Clinical ladder takes time to complete portfolios to advance, but is rewarding. Love the teaching hospital and constant drive for safety. Great health insurance

Cons

Lower salary for RNs than other hospitals, so I hear.

Pros

Good money for hourly, $10.20 an hour. Full time gets state benefits. Part time gets no benefits but again it's over minimum wage.

Cons

On your feet all day, depending on which building you're in the management varies. My boss hasn't trained me though I've been there for over a month and I also am becoming ill due to not having proper respiratory protection. I also have not been paid yet despite having worked for over a month.

Parking is TERRIBLE

Pros

Awesome medical center. Lots of trauma and cases to see. People and environment are great. Everyone is really great to work with very little drama.

Cons

They don't tell you it costs $80 to park in their garage. On top of the benefits package which is good but you don't bring home any money at $10/hour. With such a large company they can afford to pay their staff a living wage.
