Pros

- open 24/7 so they can be flexible with your hours. - usually under little to no supervision - many food options in the building & food carts outside - tuition reimbursement - truly is best hospital in greater central VA area (if not the entire state)

Cons

- very low pay - PTO, Vacation and Holidays all pull from the same bank (So if you take 10 day vacation then Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas and New Years rolls around and you used all your days on vacation you go into negative PTO) - Pay for parking (Lowest option $58 per month with most expensive being $120/mo however the rates are constantly increasing) - you ride a shuttle bus to work from the parking lot you pay to park at (usually late or bus is full and you are stuck waiting for the next one) - They no longer approve overtime hospital wide - They no longer are allowed to buy office supplies for employees... want sticky notes? Too Bad.. Need a pen? Too Bad. Coffee Creamer? Forget it. - Road to career advancement is slim - Must report to work in blizzard, hurricane, tornado, Armageddon... etc.
