Pros

The Medical Call Center Supervisor position (and general agents) is a M-F 8a to 5p call center with most major holidays off. The call center is pretty much drama free (unlike other call centers). After 1 year, you can post to another position within VCU Health System and the sky is the limit.

Cons

The Call Center is viewed as "essential". So when the snow storm hits, agents still have to come to work. Clinics will be closed, city might be closed, but they still will open the call center. There is a lot of mico-management. Dont expect to get praise EVER! On Mondays, they make the supervisor take calls all day. During the week supervisors take calls when its really busy. Bottom line, your a gloryfied call center rep. Dont expect to do much supervising....your main job will be taking calls.

Pros

Autonomy, great nurse-doctor relationships, supportive nursing administration, flexible work hours

Cons

You have to pay for parking and the pay scale for RNs could be better. Have not had a cost of living pay increase for 5 years.
