Pros

This health system allows you to give input at every level of the organization to initiate change.

Cons

The health system is fairly large one, which means it sometimes takes an exceptionally long time to get things done.

Pros

There really aren't any. I would recommend avoiding a postdoc if at all possible.

Cons

Benefits are horrible. Richmond is drab. The hospital is in an unsafe location with constant construction. Most of the departments have little funding and make it difficult for one to apply for funding. Put simply, janitors are paid more with better benefits (no joke).

Pros

The health insurance is inexpensive. The education assistance is a plus.

Cons

The organization as a whole doesn't seem to care about retaining employees. The compensation is way below market value.
