Pros

Outpatient peds clinics have a great working environment and supportive management

Cons

PTO and sick time is abysmal. You are required to use PTO hours for “paid holidays”. This concept works for inpatient staff due to their ability to self schedule and rotate holidays but outpatient clinic employees work mon-fri and don’t have the ability to rotate holidays so are forced to take the day off and use PTO. I have never worked anywhere that forced employees to use PTO for a holiday closure. Your sick time is also lumped into your PTO.

Pros

Coworkers have all been fantastic. Benefits are great if you're local, Almost a month of PTO a year.

Cons

Leadership can be slow or resistant. Pay is not very competitive and below market rates. Health insurance is troublesome to use if located outside of the Richmond area. Outside hires receive better pay than internal hires
