Pros

Small office Old doctors are retiring Can easily learn the ropes within two weeks.

Cons

Management allows others to run the unit and does not consider concerns of their employees. Your best bet is to go to another unit. No room for growth.

Pros

Pays more than THE major health system in NOVA (yes, that one.)

Cons

-You earn every dollar of that increased pay. -Charge nurses are in staffing. -no resources for nurses: you’re doing everyone else’s job along with yours. -Mgmt tells you to be grateful and look at other drowning units who “would love to have your staffing”. -recruitment process is so frustrating, recruiters ghost you WHILE you’re submitting initial paperwork, and in the interview process, they are incredibly unorganized. -if you bring up patient safety concerns, they dismiss them and nothing gets done. -this is not a nurse driven hospital, it’s a business.
