Pros

They way they hook the teachers into applying

Cons

They are a scam company. I bet all the positive reviews are from their workers. They use teachers and don't give hours. Don't waste your time.

VIPKID is a student-teacher matching platform, so it is up to students and parents to choose teachers based on teachers' profiles and past teaching performance with VIPKID students. It takes about a month to build a good student base and we do have teachers that complete many hours of teaching a week, so, as a newcomer to the platform, give yourself some time to get more students.

Fun Company, great so far!

Pros

So far, I am having a great experience working for VIPKID. The curriculum is fun and engaging for students. There are several resources for teachers (including other teachers) available on a website. I haven't really had any tech issues but the one time I did, it was quickly resolved. I think it is cool that they still pay you for your time if a student has a tech issue or doesn't show up to class. I'm really enjoying this job!

Cons

Really no cons that I can think of.

Pros

I have worked for several online ESL companies this has by far been the best. Easy access to upper management Ability to communicate with co-workers (we're not just behind a screen with no interaction) Pay bonuses/incentives Flexible scheduling(it's not fixed, as long as the required amount of classes are open based on the contractual agreement)

Cons

Getting answers from multiple sources - one person should be responding if it is the same problem; however, this is currently being worked on One year before a pay increase but the evaluation with the opportunity to have an additional $2 makes up for it
